Definitions of Account Filters

Priority Engine allows you to filter Account Lists across distinct categories. Below is a comprehensive list of the filters. For more information on a specific filter, please click on the category name.

Intent

  • Topic Interests
    The most commonly researched technology topics are directly related to the purchased market segment or segments. Topic Interests are commonly used for targeted content marketing programs and as talking points for inside sales outreach.
  • Vendor Interests
    Vendors whose sponsored content has been downloaded by active accounts. This filter is used often for running lead conquesting programs.
  • Last Touch
    Filter prospects who have downloaded your content this week, this month, this quarter or this year. Indicates the time frame of the most recent direct interaction with your content marketing program.
  • Purchase Signals
    Filter accounts based on specific account activity signals.
  • Research Location
    Filter accounts based on where the research is being conducted, including region, country, state, and city. Research location filtering is commonly used for event marketing purposes.

Account Highlights

  • Clicked your banner
    If you are running digital advertising with TechTarget all banner clicks will be surfaced in Priority Engine. Available with a Brand Accelerator subscription.
  • Visited your website
    If you are utilizing Inbound Converter you will see when an account that is active on the TechTarget network has also visited your website. Inbound Converter is a complimentary service that can be activated by contacting your TechTarget representative.
  • Downloaded your content
    If you are doing content syndication with TechTarget you will see when an account has downloaded your content. Available with a Lead Accelerator subscription.
  • Engagement Timeframe
    Filter your engagements to include or exclude specific time frames, choosing from this week, month, or quarter.

Ideal Customer Profile

  • An Ideal Customer Profile, often referred to as ICP, is a checklist of firmographic, technographic, and intent characteristics that reflect the type of account your company believes is most likely to result in business. Please note that the filter in your account list creation screen only toggles filtering by ICP. If you would like to make edits to your defined ICP please contact your TechTarget representative.

Purchase Signals

  • Widespread
    The account has an unusually high number of Active Prospects, signaling widespread interest.
  • Sustained
    The account has shown a very high amount of activity during the month, demonstrating continued interest.
  • Late Stage
    The account has been looking at content associated with final decision-making, exhibiting late-stage interest.
  • Stakeholder
    One or more Active Prospects has been flagged as a hyperactive researcher, indicating a key stakeholder.
  • Cross-Vendor
    The account is looking at multiple options from different vendors, suggesting cross-vendor interest.

    Segment Account Lists based on industry.
  • Employees
    Segment Account Lists based on company size.
  • HQ Country
    Segment Account Lists based on the country where the corporate headquarters is located.
  • HQ State/Province
    Segment Account Lists based on the State/Province where the corporate headquarters is located.

Firmographic Filters

Priority Engine allows you to segment Account Lists across four firmographic filters. Firmographic filtering is used frequently for targeting accounts from specific industries and office locations. Firmographic filters are found on the Create or Edit an Account List screen.

    Filter Account Lists based on company size.
  • Revenue
    Filter Account Lists based on company revenue.
  • Industry
    Filter Account Lists based on industry.

  • HQ Country
    Filter Account Lists based on the country where the corporate headquarters is located.
  • HQ State/Province
    Filter Account Lists based on the State/Province where the corporate headquarters is located.

Intent Filters

Priority Engine allows you to segment Account Lists across six purchase intent signals. Intent signal segmentation is used frequently for targeting accounts with specific topical interests and those engaging with your competitors. Intent filters are found on the Edit or Create Account List screen.

  • Topic Interests

    Engagements with you contains up to three types of direct engagement signals depending on your subscription. These are:
    • Downloaded your content via content syndication programs
    • Visited your website via Inbound Converter
    • Clicked your banner via digital advertising
  • Engagement Timeframe
    Indicates the time-frame of the most recent direct interaction with your content marketing program. Filter prospects who have engaged with you via banner clicks, content downloads, and website visits this week, this month, or this quarter.
  • Purchase Signals
    Filter accounts based on specific account activity signals.
