Overview

Your access in the Portal is determined by two key factors:

  • What your organization has purchased - Your company's Informa TechTarget program investments determine which Platform Views (Marketing, Sales, or Strategy) and modules are available to your organization.
  • Your User Role - Your assigned User Role (Admin, Manager, or Viewer) determines which tools and capabilities you can access in each available Platform View.

These two factors work together to create your personalized Portal experience, ensuring you have access to the tools and data most relevant to your responsibilities.

How Portal Access is Configured

When you’re set up as a Portal user, you’ll be assigned each of the following:

  • Platform View – This sets your default Portal experience to the Marketing, Sales, or Strategy View.
  • User Role – Your permission level within your assigned view. User Role options include Admin, Viewer, Manager (only available in Sales View), and No Access.
  • Region – This sets your default Portal experience based on your assigned region(s). Admins may be able to manually select Primary Region and Secondary Region(s) for users in the User Management page depending on the available regions for your subscription; otherwise, Primary Region will be automatically populated for single region subscriptions.

User Roles can be changed at any time by an Admin editing a user's profile via the User Management page. Users can check their assigned Platform View and User Role by accessing their profile in the bottom left corner of Portal.

Available Platform Views

The Platform Views offered in the Portal provide tailored experiences that align with your specific Informa TechTarget program investments. Each view presents a curated selection of modules that give you immediate access to the most relevant data and insights for your role and objectives.

The Portal offers three distinct views (click to jump to details about each view):

Switching Between Views

Some Admin users may have the ability to switch between Platform Views depending on which program tactics their organization has purchased.

To switch Platform Views:

  1. Look for the “View” selector in the bottom left corner of the Portal.
  2. Hover over this area to see available view options.
  3. Select your desired view to switch your Portal experience.

Note that switching views does not affect your underlying permissions – you will maintain Admin permissions in any view you're authorized to access.
